Pitch back with India’s Top 50 Marketers; polling open till August 10

Pitch, the marketing magazine from the exchange4media Group, is out to celebrate its seventh anniversary this year by further exploring the power of marketing. As part of these celebrations, Pitch is coming out with India’s Top Marketers Survey, an endeavour to identify and felicitate top 50 examples of Marketing Excellence.

The objective is to honour 50 distinct achievers who have proved their mettle and sustained their market dominance in the face of challenges in the last 12 months on the back of innovative marketing strategies, new launches and even their potential of putting India on the global map.

Amit Agnihotri, Co-founder, exchange4media Group & Editor, Pitch, noted, “The last 12 months have seen a lot of action in the marketing world. At the brand level, there have been successful launches like Micromax. Many brands like Tata Swach have tried to create new markets, while brands like Videocon have undergone a makeover. At the macro level, ‘participation’ is the big idea that many brands have embraced. This makes Pitch Top 50 Marketers Survey something to look out for.”

The highlights this year:

• This year, Pitch is gearing up to identify Top 50 Marketers, up from 25 last year

• There are 10 new themes for categorisation of marketers, which include – Comeback Marketers, Rechargers, Social Marketers, Globetrotters, Bottom of Pyramid, Value for Money, Marketing Innovators, Impactful Launches, Staying Relevant and No-Money Marketers

• The jury comprises leading luminaries such as AG Krishnamurthy, Chairman, AGK Brand Consulting and Founder, MICA; Anand Halve, Brand Consultant and Co-founder, Chlorophyll; Prafulla Y Agnihotri, Professor IIM-C; RV Rajan, Chairman, Anugraha Madison Advertising; and Shripad Nadkarni, Founder-Director, MarketGate Consulting

The winners will be selected through a three-tier process: Step 1: The first step includes internal shortlisting of brands and marketers in 10 broad themes by the Pitch editorial team.

Step 2: Next step involves an online community poll on exchange4media.com on the shortlisted brands.

Step 3: The final and most crucial stage is to gather an external expert perspective on the entries by a jury of five top market experts.

exchange4media invites its readers to vote for their favourite brand and also add new names that they think deserve attention. Polling would be on till August 10, 2010. Please log on to www.exchange4media.com to participate.
