Perfetti India’s Marketing Director Nikhil Sharma will be heading to Philippines as Managing Director for Perfetti Van Melle; he would be taking on his new role later this month, confirm industry sources. Sharma has been associated with the company for over 15 years now. In his role as Marketing Director, Sharma was responsible for formulating the overall marketing strategy while keeping in mind the media spends topline and bottomline for each of the brands. He is also responsible for capacity planning and research.
Sharma possesses a strong understanding of technical and financial side of the confectionery business. He has worked across cross functional projects including overseeing opportunity scoping and proposal preparation. Under his leadership, the company has launched several successful campaigns - Alpenliebe Kajol & the Crocodile, Re-launch of Big Babol ads, Chlormint Salman Khan campaign of Dobara mat Poochna and Lollipops – Lagey Raho to mention a few. He joined the company as a Management Trainee in 1999 and has played a key role in the company’s growth over the years.
