MCC Group, a service-based national sales and distribution company, has announced a strategic business partnership to distribute Panasonic’s digital imaging products in India.
Commenting on the partnership H Asou, Chairman, Panasonic India said, “Our tie-up with MCC Group is a strategic business initiative to gain entry in the highly potential segment of digital imaging products in India. We are confident to making a mark for our products by taking advantage of experience that MCC Group has in its domain.”
Elaborating on his company’s plans, Asou said, “The digital imaging segment is growing at a rate of 18 per cent per annum and we hope to capture 10 per cent of the market by the end of the first financial year. We plan an initial investment of Rs 5 crore to establish the business and penetrate the channel.”
Ajay Mehta, Managing Director, MCC Group, said, “Panasonic range of Lumix and Ecam products are best in the world. We are extremely pleased to provide our expertise and assist Panasonic India in establishing their digital imaging business in India. This partnership will enable us to expand our offerings to our already established 4,000-strong dealer network.”
Mehta further said, “Our endeavour at MCC Group has always been to introduce products that are innovative and superior in technology and offer features that are unique. And the new range by Panasonic India promises to deliver our vision to make our customers easier an exciting.”
“We will be breaking print campaigns in all newpapers. The TVC will break in November. The agency behind the TVC is Dentsu Marcom,” Mehta added.
Panasonic India has recently launched Lumix, its new range of digital still cameras and digital video cameras for the first time. The Lumix digital still cameras are priced between Rs 9,490 and Rs 29, 990, while the digital video cameras are priced between Rs 14,990 and Rs 69,990.
