exchange4media hosted Pitch Top 50 Brands on Thursday. The ceremony was attended by leading members of the senior management top Indian brands. The jury headed by Sunil Alagh, Founder and Chairman, SKA Advisors and Former Managing Director & CEO, Britannia Industries Ltd met last month to select the final shortlist of brands in 10 different categories. The objective was to shortlist Top 5 brands in 10 categories. The presenting sponsor for the awards was Dainik Bhaskar.
OLX won an award in the Digital Strategists category. Amarjit Singh Batra, CEO, OLX, South Asia said, “The Pitch 50 Brands is actually a great initiative in a country like India which has actually seen proliferation of brands for the last 10-15 years. India is a pretty hard growth market and if you look at the number of companies that have come in to capture a share of the market or to participate in this market is huge. exchange4media has started a great initiative since the last five years and Pitch 50 Brands is a great way to bring all the good brands that have done some great work in the year.”
TCS was awarded in the Globetrotters category. On winning the award, Deep Pandey, Head of Marketing, TCS, said, “Winning this award under Globetrotters category is definitely very important for us. It’s the vision of our senior management, leadership teams and finally our 3 lakh plus associates. I think the commitment which everybody gives is what TCS is today. That makes the brand Tata Consultancy Services. I am really proud to get another award for TCS and we will definitely keep things rolling for India and for Global (markets).”
Parle Products won an award in the category of Bottom of the Pyramid. Mayank Shah, Deputy Marketing Manager, Parle, said, “It means a lot. We have been in the market since the last 75-80 years and this is one brand that you will find across the length and breadth of India. It feels great to be here today and to have won in the Bottom of the Pyramid category.”
B Krishna Rao, Deputy Marketing Manager, Parle Products said, “Getting the award in the Bottom of the Pyramid category means a lot to us. We really feel elated with such an award. This is a clear recognition of the brand and the progress of this brand wherein we have been able to entrench it to the inter-lands of this country.”
HCL was awarded in the category of Globetrotters. Apurva Chamaria, AVP & Head-Global Brand & Digital Marketing, HCL said, “It feels great to have received this award on behalf of HCL in the Globetrotters category and it’s a great forum, it has been judged by fellow CMOs and they have selected HCL to receive this award. HCL’s journey has been all about global domination. A large part of our business comes from overseas. More than 40 per cent of our employees are not Indians. So, it gives us tremendous pride to carry the India brand outside. It’s in line with PM Modi’s thinking Make in India. We make in India and sell overseas”.
Asian Paints was awarded in the Evergreens category. Sameer Wadhera, Regional Manager, Asian Paints, said, “It means a lot to us as a group to be acknowledged in this particular category called Evergreens .Asian paints has been innovating constantly. It’s a company which has transformed over years and till today we see that Asian Paints believes in partnering with its customers and that’s what we stand for, that’s our belief, that’s our strength. And it’s great that we have been recognised for that strength and we have been acknowledged.”
