Mondelez India appoints Hemant Rupani as Director, Sales for India

 Mondelez India Foods Pvt. Ltd, part of the US$ 30 billion Mondelez International Inc., has announced the appointment of Hemant Rupani as Director –Sales, India. Rupani will report to Chandramouli Venkatesan, Managing Director, Mondelez India Foods Pvt. Ltd, and will be part of Asia Pacific Sales Leadership Team. He will also be a part of the Country Leadership Team based in Mumbai and play a key role in leading the company’s go to market success in India.

Speaking about his appointment, Venkatesan said, “This is an exciting time for us at Mondelez India. It is well known that our sales, distribution and execution capabilities have played a pivotal role in our leadership position and rich history in India. We are now poised at an important inflexion of creating the Route to Market of the future and driving growth in a multi category business context. To this end Hemant brings a wealth of knowledge in Sales & Marketing operations and strategy. I am sure his extensive experience of working with majors in the FMCG industry will add immense value to the organization and his proven ability to drive sales will accelerate our growth going forward. I wish Hemant all the success in the coming years.”

 Rupani comes to Mondelez India from Britannia Industries Ltd where he was heading the sales vertical for the business encompassing Biscuits, Cakes & Dairy and Breads division. Prior to Britannia, he also worked with Vodafone India Ltd, PepsiCo India Holdings Ltd and Infosys. He holds a Master in Business Administration (Marketing) from FMS, Delhi.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
