Mercedes-Benz India announces key organizational changes

Mercedes-Benz India has announced key organizational changes in its after-sales and marketing communications and CRM divisions. Mercedes-Benz India veteran Devdutta Chandavarkar, who is currently heading the After-Sales division, will take on a larger role at Mercedes-Benz Middle-East and will be based out of Dubai. Santosh Iyer currently Vice President, Marketing & CRM, is promoted to head the crucial After-Sales & Retail Training function of Mercedes-Benz in India and shall continue to be part of the Board of Management.

Devdutta Chandavarkar has been associated with Mercedes-Benz for over 17 years and has played a pivotal role in shaping the after sales function. He has also been instrumental in ensuring Mercedes-Benz topped the CSI scores in After Sales twice in a row in the J.D.Power CSI Study.

Santosh Iyercurrently Vice President, Marketing & CRM is instrumental for Mercedes-Benz India’s success in reinforcing the brand image and communicating the dynamic face of Mercedes-Benz to the customers. Under Santosh’s leadership, Mercedes-Benz India’s Customer Relations Management activity stepped up to the next level, resulting in enhancing customer satisfaction.

In addition to the above appointments, the Marketing & CRM and the Corporate Communications function are now split, and will continue to report to the Managing Director & CEO. Amit Thetewho is currently heading the Event Communications division, will be taking care of the Marketing & CRM function while Shekhar Das Chowdhury will now be heading the Corporate Communications function of the brand.

These appointments will be effective from January 1, 2016.
