LG India touches 5 million customers, launches campaign to celebrate

On the completion of five years of successful operations in India, LG Electronics Ltd. announced and launched a nation wide birthday promotion called, " 50 Lakh Smiles Celebration'. This campaign is a tribute to the 50 Lakh satisfied families that form the customer base of LG Electronics in India. This campaign aimed at the existing and prospective customers of LG Electronics, gives them a chance to be part of the month long celebration at LG Electronics and also presents endless opportunities to win grand prizes with every LG product purchase. The company has earmarked a budget of Rs.15 crore for the campaign running till June 15, 2002.

Speaking on the promotion campaign, Mr. K.R. Kim, Managing Director, LGEIL, said "This campaign has been conceptualized to celebrate our 5th birthday with our customers who have played a major role in our success. "50 Lakh Smiles Celebration" is a small gesture on our part to express our appreciation towards our customers. We hope to keep improving on our customer satisfaction measures and initiatives and are confident of constantly adding more and more satisfied customers to the LG Family"

During the month long Birthday Promotion, the company will be giving over 500 bumper prizes and 4 lakh gifts across the country. Every purchase of an LG Electronics product entitles the customer to a scratch card, which could win him a prize of a gold coin, a silver coin or the bumper prize of an LG product. The prizes will comprise of premium LG products ranging from Projection TVs, Side by Side refrigerators, Washing Machines, ACs, Microwaves and Vacuum Cleaners. The contest scratch cards are readily available at all authorized dealer outlets across the country.
