LG’s KR Kim takes on additional responsibilities of South East Asia & Australia

LGEIL Managing Director, KR Kim, who was recently promoted as the President of LGE, South West Asia, has been further elevated. Kim will now be spearheading the LGE operations in South East Asia and Australia along with India and South West Asia operations. In this capacity, Kim will be responsible for overall functioning of Asia and Australia, barring Japan, Taiwan and China.

Reacting to being given this additional responsibility, Kim said, “My tenure as the MD of LG India operations and the recent profile of being the President of South West Asia has been one of the most enriching and educative experiences of my career. The leadership position that LG has achieved in India is a result of the team in India executing my vision of LG Electronics becoming a global Top Three immaculately. I look forward to carrying my experience further to the new regions added in my portfolio. I truly thank all my Indian and global colleagues who have made my experience at LGE joyful.” Kim has been with LG since 1974 and has done various foreign assignments for LG, including Dubai, Chicago, New York, Panama, and Dusseldorf prior to India and South East Asia.

He had founded the Goldstar brand in UAE for the first time, while in the US and Germany, he was involved in setting up the IT business. In Latin America, Kim was instrumental in making Goldstar brand the leader in Panama in the capacity of Regional Director.


Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
