Koutons opens 101 stores in a day, relaunches youth brand ‘Charlie Outlaw’

Koutons Retail is all set to attract the attention of the Limca Book of World Records with the opening 101 stores across North West India in a single day on October 4. This apart, the company has also relaunched its youth brand ‘Charlie Outlaw’.

D P S Kohli, Chairman, Koutons Retail India Pvt Ltd, said, “Opening one store is a nightmare by itself. One can imagine what a challenge it is to open 101 stores in a single day at different locations. The logistics for the same are not only humongous, but all of it has to work in clockwork precision with no room for mistakes. The stores have to be ready with the products on display – all at the same time. This is no mean achievement. But we at Koutons are proud to have achieved it.”

Meanwhile, Koutons Retail has opened their stores for their value for money youth brand ‘Charlie Outlaw’.

Kohli further said, “We at Koutons aim at providing contemporary fashion at affordable prices. The Indian youth today is not only fun-loving but is also very trendy. Youngsters have access to international fashion trends hence, they are very fashion conscious. Most of the top brands available today in the country are beyond the economic reach of this segment. Therefore, we feel that there is a firm place for a brand like Charlie Outlaw and are confident that the youth will appreciate it.”

“If we have been successful, it is solely due to the fact that we are uncompromising on the quality of our garments. In a short span we have achieved leadership because we have made fashion affordable by removing all wasteful business practices, including cutting out all parts in the distribution and value chain that do not benefit the consumer,” Kohli added.

Speaking about Charlie Outlaw, B.S Sawhney, Managing Director, Koutons Retail, said, “The brand will target high school/college goers as well as young professionals who are open to international influences and are very fashion conscious. At the same time, Charlie Outlaw is not just an extremely affordable brand, but will be available pan-India down to the sub-district level.”

The Charlie Outlaw range comprises T-shirts, shirts, trousers, cargos, jeans, pullovers and jackets. Started in the year 1991 as Charlie Creations, today Koutons has a widespread presence across the country with showrooms in almost all the major cities of the country.
