exchange4media unveiled Pitch Top 50 Brands on Thursday and the ceremony was attended by top level management teams across leading brands. The jury, headed by Sunil Alagh, Founder and Chairman, SKA Advisors and Former Managing Director & CEO, Britannia Industries, met last month to select the final shortlist of brands in 10 different categories. The objective was to shortlist Top 5 brands in 10 categories. The presenting sponsor for the awards was Dainik Bhaskar.
We speak to some of the winners to gauge their reaction on winning the award.
Harley Davidson won an award in Affluent category, Pallavi Singh, Director, Marketing & Communication, Harley Davidson said, “A big thank you to the jury and everybody else who have voted for us. It feels great to be here and I really want to congratulate all the other brands who have won today. It means a lot and it’s for our customers. At Harley Davidson our brand purpose is we fulfil dreams of personal freedom. So, this is for our customers.”
Sun Pharma was awarded in the Globetrotters category. Satish Arora, Senior Manager, Corporate Relations, Sun Pharma, said, “Any award is very prestigious for any organisation. And we being a pharma company, the largest company in India and fifth largest in the world, serving humanity is our sole purpose. And we wish that our medicines reach the poorest ones in the world.”
Twitter was awarded in Master Connectors category. Taranjeet Singh, Country Business Head, Twitter India said, “Firstly, I would like to thank exchange4media and Pitch for recognising Twitter with the Top 50 brands in the country. I think it is special, coming in from the brand and marketing fraternity because we are building our relationship with brands here, it’s good to get recognised from the community. It’s special. Actually it is the second award. Last year also we had won the Pitch Top 50 Award. It’s nice to repeat it second time in a row. We have won it for the Master Connectors category and that’s what we stand for. We as a platform empower people across the world to share their emotions, feelings and connect with each other.”
Hotstar won two awards in two categories Impactful Debuts and Digital Strategists.
Sudeep Nair, Sr Manager of Digital, Star India said, “Thank you so much exchange4media and thank you so much jury. This is really motivating. This is something that we were not expecting and it happened.”
ITC Bukhara won the award in Affluent category. JP Singh, Executive Chef, Bukhara ITC said, “First of all we’ll thank jury and people who have voted for us and made us win in this category. What I see is that each and every award is equally important and valuable to us. It’s always our consistency and quality that speaks for it.”
Arjun Deep Shad, Manager, Bukhara ITC, added, “At the same time we would like to say that Bukhara is a brand by the people, for the people and will continue to be a consistent brand for the masses.”
ITC limited won the award in Social Contributors category, Richa Sharma, General Manager, Public Relations, Corporate, ITC, said, “Thank you Dainik Bhaskar, exchange4media and Pitch for this award because sustainability means a lot to us. In fact, ITC is a global example in sustainability so much so that we have through our social investment initiatives created livelihood for over six million people. And not just that it gives me great pride to say ITC is the only company in the world that is carbon positive, water positive and solid waste recycling positive.”
