It was difficult to not get swayed by the pros in many of the entries: Geetu Verma

The exchange4media Group’s Media ACE Awards took place last night in Mumbai. The Awards is an attempt to recognise Indian media agencies for their work and contribution to the media industry. Geetu Verma, Executive Director- Food & Refreshments, Hindustan Unilever Limited, was the Jury Chair for the Awards this year.

The Jury meet took place on June 19th. Addressing the Jury Chair Session at the event on Friday night, she said, “The Jury meet last month took place on a very rainy day, and in spite of that, all the jury members had a very intense discussion and heated debate over the entries. There were 10 categories and over 90 entries. It was actually very difficult to not get swayed by some of the pros which we saw in many of the entries.”

She further pointed out that at the end of the debates over the entries, they finally reached a consensus and there were several criteria, on the basis of which the judging was done- for e.g. the new business wins, innovations, awards and accolades and a whole 360 degree gamut was taken.
