Allen Solly is the most popular shirt and trousers brand among consumers, Axe deodorant tops the charts in the fragrance segment. Titan is the number one wristwear brand, and, believe it or not, Bata is the hottest footwear brand. Though foreign cosmetics brands are fast catching up, Lakme still reigns supreme among women.

These facts emerged from a survey conducted by Images, a Delhi-based fashion magazine, and market research firm ORG-Marg, ranking the most popular brands in various segments.

In the category of men's shirts, Allen Solly emerged the most preferred brand followed by Peter England, Arrow, Louis Philippe, Van Heusen and Park Avenue.

Lee ranked number two in the trousers segment followed by Park Avenue and Arrow. Lee is also the most preferred jeans brand among men followed by Levis, Killer, Pepe, Newport and Lee Cooper.

In the wristwear category, Titan is followed by Timex, HMT, Citizen, Casio and Swatch as the most preferred brands.

Among branded jewellery, Tanishq, a Titan brand, is the most popular brand followed by Bentex, Gili, Nakshatra, Gold, Carbon and Estelle.

In the footwear category, Bata is followed by Woodland, Liberty, Nike, Lee Cooper, Action, Reebok and Adidas.

In the kidswear segment, Weekender tops the chart followed by Benetton, Gini & Jony, Planet Kids, Babiano, Archies and Freelook. Benetton is also the most preferred brand among women's westernwear.
