The jury meet of Indian Marketing Awards 2016 presented by Sakal Media Group is slated to take place today. The awards ceremony, being organised by exchange4media Group, seeks to honour those who set benchmarks in marketing. It is a recognition and celebration of marketing successes from across the industry.
IMA 2016 has 14 award categories including brand activation, business-to-business marketing, digital marketing, e-commerce, global marketing and not-for-profit marketing, among others. Additionally, there will be a Marketer of the Year Award and also a Lifetime Achievement Award.
The awards follow a two-tier process of screening. In the first round, close to 400 entries that came for the various award categories were evaluated by the screening council comprising Amar Thomas, Apurva Chamaria, Bharat Kharbanda, Bhaskar Choudhuri, Chandrahas Panigrahi, Ketan Kulkarni, Neelima Burra, Mahesh Israni, Mridula Shekhar, Prabhakar Tiwari, Rajesh Kumar, Sevantika Bhandari, Shashank Sinha and Sumit Bedi.
The screening council has shortlisted the top 5 entries in all the categories after much deliberation. Now the second round of screening will be taken forward by the esteemed jury.
The jury of IMA 2016 is chaired by Suresh Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, Nestle India Limited. He will be accompanied on the panel by stalwarts like Alok Bansal, Anant Daga, CVL Srinivas, Dev Amritesh, Krishan Kumar Chutani, Parag Desai, Pradeep Dwivedi, Ramesh Jayaraman, Sameer Satpathy and Tarun Chugh. The jury will largely focus on comparable quantitative data while evaluating entries and deciding on the winners.
