HUL appoints Srinivas Phatak as CFO and Executive Director, Finance and IT

Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) on Friday announced a key change in the management committee of the company. Srinivas Phatak, currently Vice President, Finance Services, Unilever, will take over from P.B. Balaji as the Executive Director, Finance and IT and Chief Financial Officer for HUL. He will also join the HUL Board of Directors. The appointment will be effective from 1st December, 2017.

Sanjiv Mehta, CEO & Managing Director, HUL, said, "I would like to welcome Srinivas to the HUL Board and Management Committee and wish him success in his new role. He comes with a rich experience across different areas of the Finance function both in HUL as well as in Unilever. I am sure, he will play a pivotal role in driving our sustainable growth agenda.”

Phatak joined the company in 1999 after a brief three-year stint with an external organization. He has worked in various roles in HUL including Commercial Manager Chiplun Factory, Head of Treasury, followed by leadership roles such as General Manager Finance for Foods & Refreshments and Head, Investor Relations for HUL. He was then seconded to Unilever as the Global Finance VP for Deodorants, followed by VP Finance Supply Chain Americas and most recently as VP Business Finance.
