Hike Messenger appoints Radhika Shapoorjee as VP, Communications

Radhika Shapoorjee, former President, South Asia of Hill+Knowlton Strategies has joined Hike Messenger as its Vice President, Communications.

With over two decades of experience in Public Relations, Shapoorjee’s role at Hike will mark her debut in the Corporate Communications space. She has earlier been associated with PR firms like Genesis Burson Marstellar as its Chief Insights, Quality and Innovation Officer, FCB ULKA as Director, Client Servicing and Vice President IPAN.

Founded by Kavin Bharti Mittal, Hike Messenger was launched in December 2012 and raised its first round of funding of USD 7 million from Bharti SoftBank in April 2013. Hike is a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and SoftBank. On August 16, 2016, Hike raised another USD 175 million in a new round of funding led by Tencent & Foxconn. After raising this round, Hike Messenger reached the valuation of USD 1.4 billion.
