GREY group’s Batey launches #NotSoFilmy campaign for vivo with a video ‘Nayi Subah’

GREY group’s Batey’s social media campaign for vivo (#NotSoFilmy), brings an independent Indian music into the spotlight, with the recently launched campaign #NayiSubah, India’s first Indie Diwali Hit.

According to the press release, The mission of the initiative is to bring to the forefront Indie music, with its #NotSoFilmy campaign. After an unbranded video introduced #NotSoFilmy and its intent to free independent Indian music from the shadows of “filmy” music; indie luminaries, Uday Benegal, Monica Dogra and Prateek Kuhad, were thrown a challenge; live on twitter, to compose a ‘NotSoFilmy’ Diwali song for vivo.

With Nayi Subah, #NotSoFilmy campaign has moved into its final leg with the preparation of a music album, thereby celebrating ‘Not So Filmy’ music in India. Slated for a 2016 release, the album has already started receiving entries on the vivoglobal.in/notsofilmy page from bands across the country, competing for a spot in this compilation.
