Yet another Indian manager has made it to the foreign shores: Gillette India marketing head Manoj Kumar has joined the increasing tribe of Indian managers who are making it to the corporate operations of prestigious multinational organisations, worldwide.
Mr Kumar who was heading the company’s marketing operations in the country has been deputed on a ‘developmental assignment’ to AME group headquarters of The Gillette Company, USA (TGC) in London.
AME represents the crucial markets of Africa, Middle East and Europe for the global personal care and grooming company.
Mr Kumar, sources at Gillette India, said will be handling the group’s grooming business in London. Stepping into his shoes at home is Nikhilesh Brahma, who incidentally, has come back from his ‘developmental assignment’ from London.
Till now approximately 40 managers from the Indian subsidiary have made it to Gillette’s worldwide locations. Among these the most strategic one in the recent past has been the appointment of Varun Bhatia as the global vice-president-HR at TGC.
