India's most popular mid-size car, Ford Ikon has achieved a historic milestone by rolling out its 100,000th car out of the Ford India plant at Maraimalai Nagar recently. In continuation with its celebration, the company has also launched Josh 100 celebration series.
On the remarkable accomplishment, David Friedman, Managing Director and President, Ford India, said, "100,000 Ford Ikons in India is indeed a momentous milestone. This achievement is testimony to the Josh Machine's ever growing popularity."
After capturing 12- 15 per cent market share over the last few months, the company aims to notch up around 10 per cent in sales as compared to the last calendar year, said Vinay Piparsania, Vice President-Marketing and External Affairs, Ford India.
Asked on the reason behind coming up with the Josh 100 celebration series, Piparsania, said, "We believe in offering great value to our customers by offering them something different and exciting."
Available across the full Ford Ikon line up, the Josh 100 celebratory cars come in different variants like 1.3 Flair Josh 100, 1.6 Exi and 1.6 Zxi.
Equipped with features like premium audio system, leather-vinyl seat covers, remote entry and anti-theft alarm system, power steering, central door locking and tachometer, the celebratory cars will be available only in April and May and are priced at Rs 5lakh and upwards.
Asked on the marketing strategy built around Josh 100 celebration series, Piparsania said, "Our communication of advertising will be basically done through print campaigns which will be on from day after tomorrow."
