Ford India plans auto show to boost sales

In a bid to give a jump-start to its sales in the New Year, Ford India is organising an `auto show' with a difference.

Called the `Great Ford Drive', the carnival-like show will not only allow consumers to view Ford products in an auto-show style format, but also drive them on authentic test tracks, specially designed by the renowned car rally driver, Jagat Nanjappa.

In addition, the event will also have on display the original Ford Thunderbird, which Oscar winning actress Halle Berry drove in the James Bond movie, "Die Another Day". The car has been brought into India especially to be exhibited during the "Great Ford Drive".

To mark the Centennial year of the Ford Motor Company, there will also be on display a host of Ford Vintage cars, demonstrating the historical heritage of Ford models in India.

Customers will also have an opportunity to avail of on-the-spot offers from Ford Credit and other leading banks, to purchase the Ford models on display.

The two-day event, the first of its kind by Ford in India, will be held on January 10-11 in the Capital.
