Flashed Yesterday: ‘i-am’ partners with Percept to enter Indian market

‘i-am’ associates, a UK-based player in the branding and image-makeover segment, has signed a partnership deal with Percept to set up a division in India. The company has set up a studio base in Mumbai with a 10-member team headed by Abhimanyu Bhoan and Gauri Bhanu.

The team will soon consists of 70 per cent local talent with the rest being experienced personnel from the company’s global divisions.

“We are specialist at creating innovative and profitable customer experiences through brand strategy, interior design and employee engagement. ‘i-am’ uses a six-stage approach to encapsulate the personality of a brand,” said John Blakeney, Managing director, ‘i-am’ associates.

“We have worked with restaurants, banks, retail stores, etc. from all over the world. We have helped transform these brands in the physical as well as the virtual environment. We give our clients a complete architectural solution and this is what sets us apart,” he added.

Internationally ‘i-am’ associates has built a strong reputation for its work in the finance, real estate, hospitality and fashion retail sectors.

As a pilot project in India, ‘i-am’ has taken on New India Bank as its first initiative. The agency has been responsible for the complete overhaul of the business encompassing every aspect of its operations, right from brand communications to bank interiors.

Blakeney mentioned that the agency has signed about five rebranding projects in India that includes a large real estate developer in Pune which will be completed in next three months and a home textile project which will be completed by September.

Commenting on the opportunities in the Indian market, Tim Jeffery, Founding Member, ‘i-am’ associates said, “We are extremely keen to learn and understand the Indian brands across categories. India for us is a great opportunity; it will help us grow our business and achieve greater heights. There is a hunger for more retail space in India and there lies another big opportunity for us.”
