Bringing together new age entrepreneurs from the brand activation and experiential industry, EEMA (Event and Entertainment Management Association) presents its annual convention, EEMAGINE 2014. In its seventh year, the convention is set to take place in Kochi from July 18-20, bringing together the biggest names onto one unified platform.
EEMAGINE 2014 provides an insight to professionals from across the country on the best practices of the events and experiential marketing over three days. EEMA organises EEMAGINE year-on-year to create an open dialogue, predict emerging trends, knowledge share and an exchange of ideas, helping to develop and nurture the ever-growing experiential marketing industry, which is today estimated at over Rs 20,000 crore (US$ 3 billion).
One of the main highlights of the convention this year will be a session by Raj Kumar Jha, National Creative Director, Ogilvy Action, who will dissect ‘Abki Baar Modi Sarkaar’, a campaign which went on to re-write the democratic narrative of our country in recent times.
Focusing on the current era’s digital invasion, MA Parthasarthy, Chief Client Officer, Mindshare will speak about digitising events, alongside Arvind Gupta, Head IT cell, BJP, who will share the secret behind how digital media became BJP’s election-winning ally.
Internationally renowned Kile Ozier, a Disney Imagineer and Itinerant Creative Guy, is scheduled to speak on ‘Creative Concept Development for Event Experience: Ensuring the Emotional Bond with Strategic Message’, while Ashish Pherwani, Partner Ernst & Young will speak on ‘Future-Proofing the Indian Events Industry’, sharing the results of EY’s survey of 20 leading Indian advertisers and their expectations from event management companies, followed by panel discussions with industry CEOs.
An industry panel discussion on Decoding Domains, with focus on domain-specialisation, which has taken up a new dimension today, will delve deeper and unravel exciting opportunities of growth and expansion for the events industry. Another industry veteran, Harish Bijoor, will also talk about issues plaguing the industry, challenges as well as what the industry can do to be future ready. Sessions also include ‘Visual technologies - Past, Present & Future’ by Suresh Madaan, and ‘Emerging Trends in the Visual Landscapes of the Wedding Business, among others. Inspirational speaker Moustafa Hamwi will bring into limelight sessions focusing on the art of storytelling and powerhouse speaking, value of clear vision for leaders and teams, a theatrical talk on Cavalli to Manali, and a workshop on ‘Discover your true passion’.
As a finale to the coming-together, on July 20 EEMAGINE 2014 will honour and recognise exemplary work in the event and experiential marketing space across 25 categories at the annual EEMAX Awards.
