EEMA’s annual convention EEMAGINE on July 27-30

This year, Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) is organising its 5th annual national convention ‘EEMAGINE’ at The Leela Kempinski, Gurgaon from July 27 to 30, 2012 and the EEMAX Awards at Kingdom of Dreams on July 30. Though, the event and entertainment industry is growing exponentially over the last two decades, consolidation of the size and scale has not been done. The power and impact of the live medium has to be communicated to the industry at large and this is what sets the theme for this year’s EEMAGINE – ‘Time for Change’.

Commenting on the event, Brian Tellis, President, EEMA India, said, “EEMAGINE is intended as a forum for knowledge sharing and brainstorming with influential thought leaders and likeminded people of the industry. EEMA being the first and only body of its kind in the country seeks to bring together professionals and organizations operating in this space through this extensive platform every year. I am confident that this year’s convention will definitely help the industry to make great progress and shall positively impact business and society.”

The evetn this year will also see the launch of the White Paper launch. This is the first time that any survey is being conducted on this industry and has come out with amazing facts. The White Paper highlights the size and scale of the industry, predicting its growth, differentiating between organised and unorganised sector, listing the best practices of the industry and also comparing BTL to ATL. Information & Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni; Dr Rajiv Kumar, Secretary General, FICCI; Ashish Pherwani, Partner, Advisory Services - Ernst & Young; Sam Balsara, Chairman & Managing Director, Madison Communications; and Brian Tellis will be launching the White Paper at EEMAGINE.

EEMAX Awards highlight the achievements and milestones of the events and experiential marketing industry over the year. The EEMAX Awards will be decided upon by distinguished jury members – Sam Balsara, Aditya Swamy, EVP & Business Head, MTV India; BS Nagesh, Founder, TRRAIN; Sunil Kataria, Executive Vice President, Sales and New Business Development, Godrej; Ronita Mitra, Head – Corporate Brand Group, ICICI Bank; Anuradha Aggarwal, Senior VP – Brand Communication and Consumer Insights at Vodafone India Ltd; Mahesh Chauhan, Ex-Group CEO, Rediffusion – Salt.
