Edelman India appoints Amit Narayan as Reputation Lead

Global communications marketing firm Edelman has announced the appointment of Amit Narayan as Reputation Lead for India, effective November 2015. In this newly created national role, Narayan will lead reputation management programs for Edelman clients across sectors, based out of Gurgaon. He will report to Rakesh Thukral, Managing Director of Edelman India.

Rakesh Thukral said, “We welcome Amit to our leadership team in India. His experience is the perfect foundation for the broader role and focus we envision in reorganising our business around brand and reputation management. He will play an integral role in our move towards making brand and reputation management the two key focus areas of our growth.”

For over 16 years now, Narayan has led reputation management programs for Indian and multinational corporations across Asia Pacific. He joins Edelman from a role leading Asia-Pacific external communications for Vodafone out of Singapore. He has also delivered pan-Asia-Pacific communications mandates working in-house for firms such as The Walt Disney Company in Hong Kong as well as Cable & Wireless in Singapore. Over the course of his career, Narayan has overseen internal and external communications initiatives to promote and protect organisational reputation among stakeholders.

He spent the first decade of his career working for global public relations consultancies managing marketing communications programs for B2B and B2C clients in India and across Asia Pacific.
