Decoding Marketing 3.0: Big TV’s Sanjay Behl at the Pitch CMO Summit in Mumbai on Nov 16

Sanjay Behl, CEO, Big TV & IPTV and Brand Head, Reliance Communications will be the keynote speaker at the Mumbai leg of the Pitch CMO Summit 2010 to be held on November 16. Thought leaders and India’s top CMOs will address the forum. The Pitch CMO Summit is being organised by ‘Pitch’ magazine, the advertising and marketing monthly from the exchange4media Group, which is celebrating its seventh anniversary.

Commenting on the theme of the Summit, Amit Agnihotri, Editor, Pitch and Co-founder, exchange4media Group, said, “The world of marketing thinking and practice is undergoing deep-rooted changes. When information is available on-the-go and everyone is connected, ‘brand authenticity’ and relevance is at a high premium. While there are tens of thousands of brands wooing the India consumer, he ‘believes’ in just a handful. Those are the top-rate brands and their marketers, who will share their brand strategies at the Pitch CMO Summit.”

Behl had begun his career with Hindustan Lever Ltd (now HUL), where he spent 10 years between sales and marketing assignments. In early 2004, he joined Nokia India to head its brand and marketing operations, wherein his responsibilities included managing brand, product, retail, media, technology, etc. Under his stewardship, Nokia was nominated as the CII Brand of the Year for 2004, apart from numerous other accolades.

He then joined Reliance Communications as Head of Brand and Marketing and was a key marketing resource for Reliance ADAG, overseeing corporate architecture and the recently unveiled new identity for all group companies.

Behl was elevated to CEO, Big TV and IPTV in March 2009. He had done his post-graduation in management from Mumbai University in 1993.
