Dabur to bring Jaquline USA through its retail chain NewU

FMCG major Dabur India is going to bring make-up and beauty brand Jaquline USA in India through its beauty retail chain NewU to boost its presence in the category. The homegrown company had reported to complete the acquisition of the US-based Fem Care Pharma in 2009 which happens to own Jaquline USA.

The American brand will be retailed exclusively through NewU, a retail chain owned by Dabur’s subsidiary H&B Stores, which operates about 70 stores across the country. According to media reports, the first collection will include a range of nail care and styling products along with a line of gel finish nail enamels in both matte and glossy shades. Dabur plans to launch other set of products from Jaquline USA later. The average price range for products will be around Rs.150.

This is part of Dabur’s last year plan where its H&B Stores initiated to make a big investment in the beauty retail space by spending over Rs 100 crore on its chain NewU over the next two years.  Besides beauty and personal care products, NewU also sells health foods and ayurvedic products of Dabur’s own private labels and other domestic labels.
