Dabur expects higher sales with new brand

With the launch of Dabur India’s new Chyawanprash variant, Dabur Chyawanshakti, company officials expect the new brand to touch sales of Rs 5-7 crore this year, followed by an annual 10 per cent growth rate.

Punjab accounts for 9 per cent of Dabur Chyawanprash’s sales.

“North India is an important market for us, and hence a natural choice for launching Dabur Chyawanshakti,” said Krishan Kumar Chutani, DGM (marketing), Dabur India Ltd, today, in Chandigarh.

He further added that during winters, there was a 70 per cent rise in the sale of the Chyawanprash brand, as against 50 per cent growth throughout the year.

According to data available, Chyawanprash is consumed by about 4 per cent of people in the country, which, the industry believes, will rise to 5-6 per cent in the year ahead.

Developed after extensive R&D, Dabur Chyawanshakti is a unique mix of 47 herbs & natural ingredients like draksha, ashwagandha & kesar, known to help in revitalising and stimulating the immune system, relieving stress, enhancing virility, improving stamina, fighting aging through anti-oxidant property, and building resistance to diseases.

It is available at Rs 110 per 500 gm.
