Crocs India appoints Deepak Chhabra as Managing Director

Crocs India has appointed Deepak Chhabra as the new Managing Director with effect from 12 September 2016. With over two decades of experience in Retail, Distribution, Buying, Merchandising and Brand Management, Chhabra will be responsible for the growth and expansion of the Crocs brand across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Maldives. His focus will be on driving strategic initiatives to deliver superior brand and customer experience.

 The former Managing Director, Nissan Joseph will take up the position of Managing Director of Crocs Korea, after successfully leading the Indian operations for the past three years.

 A veteran of the footwear and sportswear industry, Chhabra has held various leadership positions on marquee brands including Reliance, Sketchers, Asics, Nike, Tag Heuer and Sprandi, working extensively across several markets in India.

 Most recently, he served as Vice President of Reliance Retail where he enjoyed a long career spanning close to a decade. He was based in Bengaluru and spearheaded the expansion of Reliance Retail’s operations to over250 stores across 110 cities.

 Commenting on his new role, Chhabra said, “I am very excited at the opportunity to work with the Crocs team and look forward to develop the brand further. I hope to contribute to its growth story in this fast-changing consumer and retail environment.”
