Coca-Cola India on Wednesday announced a change in its Communications team with Arpan Basu leading the INSWA Business Unit (BU) Communications. Prior to his new role, Basu was working on Company and Category communication for the Business Unit, building on the Company’s positive impact on the ecosystem, and leveraging traditional and online news mediums. Based out of Gurugram, Basu will report to Ishteyaque Amjad, Vice-President Public Affairs and Communication, Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia.
Basu will take on the new role from Kamlesh Kumar Sharma who has been recently moved to Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages as a Chief Communications Officer after having served as Director, Corporate Communications and Alliances, at Coca-Cola India.

With a work experience spanning 15 years, Basu has been instrumental in driving public relations campaigns for brands such as Max Life Insurance and Jubilant Life Sciences prior to joining Coca-Cola. His has received many accolades including Certificate of Excellence in Financial PR at the SABRE AWARDS SOUTH ASIA 2014. He was also recognized among the top 5 “Outstanding young insurance Executives” in Asia in the “Aeon Benfield Scholarship” conducted by Asia Insurance Review. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree from Ohio University and a Bachelors in Commerce degree from Calcutta University.
