The organising committee of the Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi has announced Coca-Cola India as the official beverage partners for the 19th Commonwealth Games. Coca-Cola India’s product will exclusively be sold to spectators and served to all the athletes, team officials, volunteers, etc., during the Delhi Commonwealth Games. The exclusive association with CocaCola India encompasses products in the carbonated soft drink, water, juice and juice drink categories.
Speaking on the occasion, Suresh Kalmadi, Organising Committee Chairman and MP, said, “We are delighted to have Coca-Cola India as the official beverage for the Commonwealth Games 2010. Coca-Cola has a strong legacy of supporting Olympic sports and needs no special introduction. Today is an important day for all of us as we are just 200 days away from the Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi. We are confident about delivering Games that India will be proud of. Coca-Cola India’s coming on board with the Games is thus a logical move and the tie-up will benefit all stakeholders.”

The Coca-Cola Company has been associated with the Olympic Games since 1928. In 2008, Coca-Cola India was the official beverage partner to the Youth Commonwealth Games in Pune.
The 19th Commonwealth Games 2010 Delhi will be held from October 3-14 and would witness the participation from 71 Commonwealth Games Associations. 8,000 athletes and officials are expected to participate in 17 sports disciplines.
