In just a few days, marketing and advertising honchos from round the country will address an eager audience on issues like brand portfolio management, customer orientation and getting more bang from the marketing buck.
Marketing Summit 2002, to be organized by CII, in its third avatar would focus on the various contemporary issues of marketing, with a theme 'business is marketing and marketing is business.' The summit is to be held in Delhi on the 21st and 22nd of August.
The list of speakers for various panels is impressive. It includes Piyush Pandey, National Creative Director-O&M, Alex Von Behr, President-Coca Cola India, Sunil Alagh, MD- Britannia Industries, Bharat Patel, Chairman- P&G and adman Alyque Padamsee.
One of the key sessions, 'Generating more bang from the marketing buck' will attempt to generate new thoughts on generating greater cut-through advertising in face of advertising clutter, dealing with the new generation of 'ad savvy' consumer and innovative media planning can overcome challenges of fragmentation and inflation.
Moderated by Suhel Seth, CEO. Equus Advertising, the session would draw on an experienced panel that would include Piyush Panday, Sorab Mistry, CEO, McCann Erickson and Jasmin Sohrabji, Sr. Vice President, MediaComm. The session would be at 11:30 hrs on August 22.
Later in the day, Jan Lindemann, MD-Brand Valuation, Interbrand, UK would deliver a keynote address on The World's Most Valuable Brands: Lessons in Value Creation for Corporate India.
