Britannia Q2 FY14 net up 65.7% at Rs 97.6 crore

Britannia Industries has reported consolidated revenue growth of 12.8 per cent in the second quarter ending September 30, 2013 at Rs 1,740 crore and a growth of 13.5 per cent for the six months at Rs 3,280 crore. Standalone revenue for Q2 FY14 stood at Rs 1,594 crore, up 13.7 per cent from the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Standalone revenue for the six months was up 14.2 per cent at Rs 2,998 crore.

Britannia reported a net profit of Rs 97.6 crore in Q2 FY14 on a consolidated basis, a growth of 65.7 per cent, while net profit for the six-month period stood at Rs 187.1 crore, up 77.6 per cent. Standalone net profit for Q2 FY14 stood at Rs 95.7 crore and for the six months at Rs 182 crore, increase of 109.8 per cent and 104.3 per cent, respectively.

The company’s net sales were up at Rs 1,740.48 crore in Q2 FY14, a growth of 12.82 per cent as compared to Rs 1,542.67 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
