It’s that time of the year when everyone sees pink. Cupid season is here to stay and brands of all hues are out to help lovers woo with panache. Be it TV channels, coffee shops, greeting card companies, cellular operators, websites and apparel brands – everyone has something to offer this Valentine’s Day.

Among TV channels, Animax will be premiering a unique series, ‘Emma’, a Victorian romance starting February 14; VH1 will be airing the Celebrity Love Trilogy from February 12-14; Hungama TV plans to spread the message of love Sanya, who will play the love angel, getting the messages of her viewers to their near and dear ones.

Card major Archies, as in previous years, has lined up a mind boggling array of Valantine’s cards, with special emphasis on premium cards this year, the prices of which go up to Rs 699. To get buyers in the mood, Archie shops around the country have been swamped in the colour red – be it hearts, gifts, stardust or even specially compiled love CDs.

Not to be left behind, cellular majors too have joined the love bandwagon. Customers can now wish their loved ones in a very special way through Tata Indicom’s voice portal. All one needs to do is dial 12900 for the Tata Indicom Voice Portal, say Love Stories, Pyaar Ya Vaar, Love Karaoke, Mujhse Dosti Karogi or MTV Valentines Isspecial and wish his/her loved one in any of the five different ways.

Mauj Telecom is unveiling six mobile games based on some of the most celebrated love stories – Heer Ranjha, Laila Majnu, Salim Anarkali, Romeo Juliet, Rapunzel and Sassi Punnu. In addition to this, Mauj Telecom has also announced the launch of special SMS based services like ‘I love you’ message in 11 languages.

The cyber world also has plans up its sleeves to entice netizens. Jammag.com will be hosting Valentine’s Message Board, Flames, e-cards, Club JAM, Match metre, A-Z of Valentine’s. Advertisers like Motorola, Anne French, Mountain Dew and White Mischief have already been roped in by Jammag.com. Shopping portal eBay India, too, has announced a variety of products that one can gift their loved ones. There is also a special contest open to all users who shop this Valentine’s on the online marketplace.

This apart, major portals like Indiatimes, Sify, Rediff, Yahoo, MSN et al have created special Valentine’s microsites and are also offering different Valentine’s gift packages and innovative ideas for lovers.

The list seems endless – fashion denim brand Wrangler has launched its special Fall-Winter collection for Valentine’s Day; Café Coffee Day has lined up a fortnight long V-Day promotion, ‘Café Coffee Day Luv Zone’, at all its 262 cafes across 60 cities in the country.
