The Bird Group, one of the largest diversified groups in the aviation, travel and IT arena, has embarked on a rebranding exercise. As part of this exercise, the Group had changed its logo and tagline in January 2008, with the new tagline laying emphasis on Bird Group as a young vibrant, flexible leader with integrity.
Bird Group has expertise across eight verticals like travel technology, travel management and airline representation, aviation services and ground handling, business consultancy, cargo management, hospitality, education and training, and retail.
Charles Carneiro, Head-Marketing & Corporate Communications, Bird Group, said, “The reason we changed our logo was because we wanted to build our Group brand. Earlier, the verticals were known by their respective names. We wanted to consolidate our Group companies into one company and brand synergy was really important. We did this whole rebranding exercise and changing the logo in-house.”
He further said, “The new tagline is ‘Imagine, innovate and inspire’. The new logo brings together different elements – a bird’s eye, which represents a clearer and sharper vision; wings, which stand for leadership and flexibility; and the sun, which stands for vibrancy and leadership.”
“The core brand vision is the innovative use of expertise in technology, industry experience and customer understanding to deliver high standards of services and customer satisfaction within the service industry,” Carneiro added.
He further said, “The future plans of the Bird Group include expansion and diversification across our eight verticals.”
