Bharti Airtel appoints Rajiv Mathrani as Chief Brand Officer of India operations

Bharti Airtel has appointed Rajiv Mathrani as Chief Brand Officer for its India operations.

He will report to Srini Gopalan, Director of Consumer Business, Bharti Airtel, and he will be taking over from Mohit Beotra, who is moving on from Airtel to follow entrepreneurship.

Mathrani will lead Airtel"s brand positioning, strategic initiatives and associations.

"His leadership and rich experience will significantly contribute to strengthening the bond that brand Airtel enjoys with its customers, and contribute to our endeavor of building a brand of the future. I also take the opportunity to thank Mohit for his valuable contribution in creating some of the iconic campaigns for us and wish him all the success as he pursues his dream," said Gopalan said in a statement. 

Mathrani joins Airtel from Pepsico, where he was the head of snacks category including Lay’s, Kurkure, Uncle Chipps and Cheetos.

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
