Bata India Ltd launched three new topline products of the company — `Wind' and `Flexible' shoes for men and `Comfort' footwear for women. . The company plans to introduce a range of new footwear, for men, women and children in different price ranges, in phases by end-August.

According to company source, `Flexible' was another advanced footwear from the Bata stable that has been inspired by Chinese reflexology. It emulated the natural shape of the foot and lets you be the way you always wanted to be. `Wind', was a product of the latest in footwear technology, with "in-built air circulation that allows feet to breathe and stay fresh a.m. to p.m".
With Indian consumers aspiring for the international taste and style, the company, through launch of the new products, has tried to create a convergence of sorts to meet the rising demands of various strata of consumers, each one with different needs, aspirations and budgets.
To make things easier for consumers, Bata has introduced the concept of store classification, such as `Flagship' (for main metros), `City' (for mini-metros), `Family' and `Bazaar' (which are located in major booming towns hosting basic, medium and high-priced footwear).
