Reliance Money, the financial distribution company of the Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group, and Barista Coffee have announced a first-of-its-kind tie-up. Under this tie-up, Barista, which is largely responsible for turning coffee drinking into a culture in India, will be installing Reliance Money’s web-enabled retail kiosks at their outlets across the country.
“This initiative will further enhance the Barista experience and add a new dimension to our list of offerings. This will allow our customers to complete their financial transactions using Reliance Money kiosks while enjoying their favourite beverage at our outlet,” said Partha Duttagupta, CEO, Barista.
Said Sudip Bandyopadhyay, CEO, Reliance Money, “Reliance Money is the first company in the world to deploy Internet-enabled retail kiosks for trading with the sole purpose of getting close to the customer and providing them convenient and secure access to our cost-effective platform for meeting their financial transaction requirements. Our tie-up with Barista is the first such tie-up in this direction.”
Reliance Money plans to deploy over 10,000 such kiosks in the country, the biggest deployment by any company globally. Bandyopadhyay said these kiosks would be placed in over 100 strategically located Barista outlets.
“With the installation of these kiosks at its outlets, Barista is in a position to leverage the increased walk-ins into its outlets while Reliance Money strengthens its distribution reach,” Bandyopadhyay explained.
