Anchor Daewoo Inds readies new launches

Hoping to ride on the Korean wave hitting the consumer electronics and home appliances market and betting on the Daewoo brand name to bounce back into the market. Anchor Daewoo Industries Limited (ADIL) is relaunching its brand with a slew of new products in the CTV, DVD, refrigerator and microwave oven range. It is hoping to use excess manufacturing capacities by getting into tie-ups with existing OEM manufactures.

National sales head Anil Chopra, said ADIL plans new ‘total upgrade’ promotion schemes bundling TVs, refrigerators and microwave ovens together: “We need to be more aggressive in the market so we have lined up launch of six new CTV models, four refrigerators and a new microwave model in the market by December.”
