Amitabh Tapadar joins Bajaj Group as Head Marketing - Kitchen Appliances Products Business Unit

After a stint of 14 years at Tata Group, Amitabh Tapadar has joined the Bajaj Group as Head Marketing of the Kitchen Appliances BU within Bajaj Electricals. Tapadar confirmed the news to exchange4media.

He has a work experience of over 15 years covering many top Indian brands like HCL Infosystems, Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Voltas, Tata Housing Development Company, and Tata AIA Life Insurance Company.

In his previous assignment at Tata AIA Life Insurance, he served as Vice President - Chief Marketing Officer for two years. He headed the branding function which included the corporate brand, different product brands, and other activity specific brand properties. He was responsible for driving an exhaustive brand re-positioning drive and also integrating the different product brands under the corporate brand umbrella.

He was voted amongst ‘50 most talented CMOs of India’ in 2013 by the CMO Council, he won the ‘Tata Business Leadership Award’ 2 times consecutively as Team Leader (2008 & 2010), he is also a veteran external assessor of businesses using ‘Tata Business Excellence Model’.

Tapadar has an academic background spanning a Degree in Chemical Engineering from Jadavpur University, Kolkata and a fulltime PGDM program from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
