Amara Raja Batteries races with Narain Karthikeyan for Amaron PRO – NK

Now that Narain Karthikeyan has entered the F1 circuit, he has found a place amongst the top 20 drivers of the world. He has not only made India proud, but also pleased Amara Raja Batteries with his success. Commemorating his success, the company has launched Amaron PRO – NK racing batteries.

According to the company, the racing batteries had the highest Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), the highest Reserve Capacity (RC) and the longest battery life found in any battery in the country. In fact, Amaron PRO – NK goes a step ahead in re-instating the fact by placing Karthikeyan’s picture and signature across the label on the battery.

At the launch, Jayadev Galla, Managing Director, Amara Raja Batteries, said, “Ever since Brand Amaron entered the market, we have been associated with Narain. He epitomises values of youth, vigor and a will-to-win, and these are the qualities that have taken him to the top. We dedicate this Racing Edition of Amaron PRO batteries to Narain, who has made it to the very top of the motor sports world by entering the F1 arena.”

These batteries will be marketed through PitStops and major retail outlets across the country. Amaron PRO – NK comes with a 50-month-warranty and an exclusively designed premium racy shoulder bag. As a promotion tactic, bottles of water are being given out at retail outlets carrying the message, “At 40o C, you definitely need a top up. So does your battery, unless it’s an Amaron PRO.” This is to drive home the fact that Amaron batteries do not require water to be filled (topping up) at any point of time.

Commenting on the promotion campaign, G Indeevar, Head, Automotive (Aftermarket), Amara Raja, said, “We all could do with a bottle of water in the hot weather. Along with the water bottles are little cards, which have to be filled in and left at the Amaron PitStops.”

This apart, three lucky winners will be get to go on an all expenses paid trip to Shanghai in October with a grandstand ticket for the F1 race and a dinner date with Karthikeyan.
