SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment to present ‘LI’LStar Awards Show’ on Star Plus

Star Plus is all set to introduce an awards show just for kids and by the kids. The Surf Excel LI’LStar Awards Show will air on Sunday, December 14 at 1 pm. The show has been produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

The Surf Excel LI’LStar Awards jury is headed by yesteryears actress Neetu Singh nee Kapoor, while the jury members include children from different fields – Dheirya, Shirya, Aishwarya, Vineet and Amey Pandya. The hosts for the evening would be Shreyas Talpade and Jaaved Jafferi.

According to an official statement, for the first time children under the age of 18 get to vote for their favourite actor, actress, mom, friend, best film, etc., in 19 categories. For the true measure of their performance, the superstars are put to test as they compete in unique categories designed specially by the kids. The categories are Best Dialogue, Best House, Best Friend, Best Mom, Best Animation Film, Best Animation Character, Best Comedian, All Time Favourite Kids Song, All Time Favourite Movie, Best Dance Step, Best Song, Best Costume, besides the regular ones of Best Debut Male, Best Debut Female, Best Child Actor, Best Action Star, Best Film, Best Actor – Female & Male.

This award show would have a line-up of acts ranging from Kareena Kapoor dancing to the tracks of ‘Golmaal Returns’ to Yuvraj Singh’s take on Akshay Kumar in ‘Singh is Kinng’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s performance on his hit song from ‘Om Shanti Om’. The evening’s highlight would be performances by the loveable Mickey and Donald.
