Nick launches ‘The Adventures of Uncle Max’ on its comedy block

Nick has added ‘The Adventures of Uncle Max’ to its content line-up in the ‘Ha Ha Ha’ block. The show is placed on the Monday to Friday, 5.15 pm time slot.

Nina Elavia Jaipuria, VP and GM, Nick India said, “Essentially, Nick has always endeavoured to bring a smile or a laugh through its content. We have launched ‘The Adventures of Uncle Max’ in our laughter block ‘Ha Ha Ha’. The show is a dialogue free, comedy show on the goof ups of Uncle Max and his 8-year old nephew Luke.”

Speaking on the promotion activities for the show, Jaipuria informed that most of the promotion took place on its on-air initiative for summer programming called ‘Nick Fundoo Superstar Contest’. According to Jaipuria, “We started the show in the midst of the on-air initiative, in order to get maximum eyeballs and create word of mouth.”

A silent comedy, the show is packed with physical comedy and includes visual gags and antics from the rubber faced Dav id Schneider who plays the lead character Uncle Max. Techniques such as fast and slow motion, crash zooms and camera ‘spins’ attempt to create a sense of a human cartoon in the show.
