Nick has appointed NDTV Media Ltd as its exclusive advertising sales agency in India. As part of the agreement, NDTV Media would be responsible for selling airtime on Nick, which includes sponsorships, spots, promotions and tie-ups, among others.
Announcing the appointment, Amit Jain, Managing Director, MTV Networks India, and Executive Vice-president, MTV Networks Asia, said, “NDTV Media’s innovative approach, coupled with their strength in concept selling, makes them the perfect choice to optimally leverage Nick’s steady climb in the kids’ television category.”
He further said, “The appointment of NDTV Media completes the circle of key business initiatives outlined for Nick for this year and comes at the right time. With a 150 per cent increase in Nick’s ratings over the last three months, distribution across 25 million households in South Asia, relevant and ‘safe-for-kids’ programming that saw Nick launch 11 new shows this year, the channel is sure to continue on its steady growth path towards being at the top-end of the deck by the year end.”
