McDonald’s and NGC to entice kids with a Jurassic experience

McDonald’s and National Geographic Channel have come together for their latest in-store promotion. With the ‘Roboraptor Contest’, both of them are trying to woo the young audience with a Jurassic experience.

Kids will get an opportunity to win a ‘Roboraptor’, a remote controlled dinosaur, by participating in the contest. This apart, kids will also get an opportunity to collect toys based on the popular animated series, ‘Dragonball Z’.

An official communiqué stated, “All a kid needs to do to participate is purchase a McDonald’s ‘Happy Meal’ that will automatically entitle them to a ‘Roboraptor Contest’ coupon from the Happy Meal box and SMS the six-digit code to 7007. Winners will be chosen randomly and announced daily at the McDonald’s outlet. The bumper prize, the Roboraptor, will be announced at the end of the promotion.”

McDonald’s outlets across Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Bangalore and Hyderabad have been holding the contest since September 8, 2006. The contest will be on for a month till October 7, 2006.
