After the stupendous success of ‘Hanuman’, the monkey god has returned to enthrall viewers again in ‘Return of Hanuman’. In order to build a greater connect with kids and adults alike, Jump Games, a Reliance Entertainment venture, has launched a mobile game based on this animated feature film from Percept Picture Company (PPC). The game will be available for download through all mobile operators and most handset models.
Speaking on the initiative, Salil Bhargava, CEO, Jump Games, said, “We are putting our best foot forward to make sure that the ‘Hanuman’ game is available across the country. The idea is that anybody with a mobile phone should be able to play ‘Hanuman’ and experience the thrill.”
Commenting on the development, Preet Bedi, CEO, PPC, said, “Percept has always believed in innovation, and gaming is definitely the way to go as far as promotions and marketing is concerned in today’s times, not to mention a parallel revenue model that it offers. We have set an example for others to follow with the ‘Hanuman’ game series. This is for the first time in India that three mobile games are being developed for an animation feature.”
A countrywide contest around the mobile game has also been launched, where high scorers can win attractive gifts and ‘Hanuman’ merchandise. Going forward, the game will also be offered directly to consumers via Jump Games Kiosks stationed at prominent locations, starting in Mumbai and Pune.
The mobile game showcases the original Indian superhero Hanuman taking on the evil forces of Guru Shukracharya and Rahuketu. The company is also releasing a black and white version of the game compatible with low-end handsets. Apart from this, there are two other mobile games that will be released from Jump’s stable as part of the three-game ‘Hanuman’ series.
