Cartoon Network launches new shows for Diwali and Children's Day

Cartoon Network has launched five brand new animated series and a host of other popular shows and movies for Diwali and Children's Day. The programming bonanza, "Gili Gili Pasha Diwali Tamasha", includes the premier of two exciting new series - Jungle Tales, the eighth locally produced animation, and animated show Sabrina. Indian animation programming, named '100 % Desi Toons' will showcase back-to-back episodes of popular Indian animations such as, The Adventures of Tenali Raman, The Adventures of Chhota Birbal, among others.

The festive season also marks the Premiers of three brand new internationally acclaimed animated series for young kids in November, called Postman Pat, Little Red Tractor and Maisy.

The channel has launched several contests as a part of the below-the-line initiatives to promote the latest ventures, a company official informed. In 'Gili Pasha Diwali Tamasha' a cartoon fan has to identify the full names of the two characters. And, 10,000 lucky winners will receive CN Diwali goodies and 500 Lucky Winners each in Mumbai and Delhi will be invited to an exclusive Diwali Party. Another promo, 'Diwali Jadoo Mantar Contest' has been launched on POGO. For this kids have to tune in to POGO and watch the three Diwali movies. The magical word would be announced between the movies. Kids need to catch these magical words on air and send in their entries with the magical word, the official explained.
