•
Ensures quota of article ideas
meets requirements of daily
publishing on online. Must show
understanding of consumer
lifestyles, categories, ethnicity,
income and gender.
• Writes observation and
trend articles in specified vertical
as well as other verticals
as needed based on approved ideas
to meet Iconoculture’s branded
voice & style.
• Ability to present to
and interact with internal and
external clients.
• Accurately analyzes and
contextualize substance of article
that reveals connection to consumer
behavior and motivations.
Accurately analyze trend relationship
to Iconoculture values
and macrotrends.
• Develops network of field
sources and experts who can give
Iconoculture insight into categories
and niche areas.
• Supports and partners
with Consumer Strategist(s) to
create expert insights
into categories and demographics.
• Develops, writes, and
edits observations, trends and
other reports and
deliverables independently and/or
in collaboration with
Consumer Strategist(s) and other
staff.
• Carries responsibility
in meeting deadlines and commitments.
• Maintains a flexible,
adaptable work style.
• Creates necessary personal
systems to maximize productivity
in a virtual work
environment.
• Produces and manages a
variety of deliverables, ensuring
consistency, accuracy of information,
and – most important
– quality of thought. |
| Qualification |
To

| Education/Experience |
Bachelor's
degree in marketing, cultural
studies, journalism, or English;
or minimum five years related
experience and/or training in
consumer-based marketing, consumer
insights, market research; or
equivalent combination of education
and experience.
• Solid writing and editorial
experience, preferably in an online
or wire-service environment.
• Experience managing contractors
and/or editorial staff.
• Proven ability to work
with diverse personalities to
edit and produce quality
written pieces for clients and
the public.
• Understanding of and respect
for intellectual property law.
• Impeccable journalistic
integrity as well as familiarity
with AP style. |
