IRS 2010 Q4 data for Karnataka shows growth for dailies. Among the top 10 dailies all except one have shown growth. Vijay Karnataka leads with a growth of 1.46 per cent and an average issue readership (AIR) of 34.75 lakh in Q4 2010. Prajavani at number two has seen a growth of 9.28 per cent, while Kannada Prabha has seen a growth of 10.94 per cent.
Samyukta Karnataka has seen a growth of 5.39 per cent and its readership is at 11.92 lakh as opposed to 11.31 lakh in Q3 2010. Udayavani is at number five with a growth of 4.61 per cent.
The English dailies, including The Times of India and Deccan Herald, have seen growth of 7.08 per cent and 7.3 per cent, respectively. The highest gainer among the top 10 dailies is The Hindu with a growth of 21.25 per cent.
