IRS 2010 Q4: Punjabi dailies see a weak year

IRS 2010 Q4:  Punjabi dailies see a weak year

With variable AIR numbers throughout the last three quarters, Any Punjabi daily has registered AIR of 21.43 Lac in the Q4 result of IRS 2010. While the top most daily Ajit has written its growth story in the year 2010, the decline continued for the rest two players of the domain.

Ajit with constant growth in readership in Q2 and Q3; has recorded the AIR of 11.24 Lac in Q4 results (a decline in readership as compared to Q3 results). The second most read daily of Punjabi language, Jag Bani, has scored AIR of 9.67 Lac in Q4 results of IRS.

Meanwhile, Punjabi Tribune, has recorded AIR of 2.36 Lac in Q4 results. In Q1 the daily had registered AIR of 2.90 Lac. The daily had seen hike in readership in Q2 results but further its readership was declined in the Q3 and Q4 results of IRS 2010.
