Zee to merge news, entertainment in revamp

In a major restructuring effort, media giant Zee is to merge its news and current affairs divisions within entertainment as per management consultant A T Kearney's recommendation. Zee Telefilms had appointed global management firm A T Kearney in September this year to review and refine structure and systems of the organisation and the consultant is expected to submit its final report in December this year. The Zee Group has about 4,000 employees at present, with publishing, FM Radio, broadband and several other related areas of interest besides the broadcast business.
