Zee to become 100 per cent Indian TV channel

Zee Telefilm is all set to turn into 100 per cent Indian TV channel. The strategy of the company is to move all broadcasting functions to Indian shortly. Once it starts operating from India it will be paying 38 per cent tax instead of 48 percent tax on its entire income as FTC.

Zee Telefilms has bought all the stake in Asia Today Limited (ATL). ATL was registered as the FTC whose Indian agent was Zee Telefilms. However, as the broadcasting for Zee still happens from outside India, it will be taxed as a foreign channel until it moves all broadcasting into the country.
